In the forest;

squirrels scamper 

arboreal acrobats aloft,

above drifting docile deer.

A foresters’ handsaw 

recreates 

Jay birds’ call.

Homeward bound 

boots

 break bronze 

brittle 

beech leaf,

next years mulch.
