A Lover
In eastern sky a flame cherry orange-red
sends thin fingers to slowly caress a dark silhouette
Reaching across tree tops, pinnacles of mounds,
plains and hill sides of deep moist valleys
A gradual warming is released,
sending a distinctive perfume to kiss
as a warm breath on a lovers cheek.
For dawn is bright light
and a Lover has returned
to she who is Great Mother.
His potent gift is all
hers to have
to bear
fruit on earth.

Me too,I loved the flow of this :)
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for your kind comments.
ReplyDeleteIncidentally the shape was pure fluke :) because it was originally arranged on the left and only when I centred it did it become bowl shape.
Breathtakingly beautiful! Sensuous and intricately woven:)
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely sense of peace and metre there is to this. I often dislike winter for its chill, but forget it is the time of sunsets and sunrises as I see each one.
ReplyDeleteSeasons Greeting to you may your year be filled with love peace and joy!
